I have told many of you about Nicole Jacome, my friend Marcia's daughter. Nicole, who is 16, has glioblastoma, a brain tumor. She has been at St. Jude's Childrens Hospital in Memphis for the last several months receiving radiation and chemotherapy. Today, they are flying back to Ecuador because her treatment here is finished. She will get a much needed break and get to see her family and friends.
Please pray for her, and her entire family. Send all of your love...everyday!
To see a profile on Nicole, visit the website below. Don't hesitate to sign her guestbook. They would love it.

Miss Frisky!
The sounds that come out of this girl are wild. She is ever changing. It's so hard to keep up. All parents tell you that they "grow so fast". I had no idea...

Tummy Time success!
Ava is going Green
With all the chemicals we ingest - either from plastics or through skin products I decided to give Ava a fighting chance for a clean start. First we got her organic baby lotion. Then organic baby wash. She's the most health and environmentally conscious one in our house! Serg and I are contributing also, by recycling, not using water as much. These weekly showers are a bit tough, though. (Kidding...)

Ehhhhhhhhh.....
This is our first video on the blog! She loves to "Ehhhhh" for hours, in addition to laughing, making fart noises (thanks Auntie Dannie) and unconsciously saying "mama". Enjoy!
* Upon hearing this video, she imitated herself for 10 minutes straight. She's a mimic in her spare time.

Uncle Mike!
The Truth about Tummy Time...
I mentioned before that Ava hated tummy time. Unfortunately, nothing has changed. We still do it everyday. I even bought her this cool, rotating contraption to help her "enjoy" the experience. Nope! When I asked the pediatrician about tummy time, he said she'd "get used to it." Well, she hasn't. But, we keep trying. I'm expecting to see some military push ups in no time.

No thumb is too big!
Bumpo!
Sergio suggested we have Ava test one of those seats for baby to sit up like a big girl. So we went to Target to try it out, and she loves it! She goes a little crazy though. I can't figure out what it is, but once she gets in it, she gets this wild look and starts throwing her toys. Fun! See the Target tryout below, then the craziness at home.
